one of my favorite things to do in this city is go to the san diego zoo.
most of my friends here have a zoo pass,
and i think if you live in a place with decent weather and small kids,
you should have one too!
it also helps that this is one of the better zoos around…
so when we have family here, it comes up as a thing to do.
this last week, B and I got to go twice!
so we went with g-ma & g-pa clifford & aunt jayme.
who were all loving it.
it’s just such great weather too that it is always nice to walk around
cool shades the g-rents got B within minutes of entering the park..
they are the best.

so the fun thing about going so many times to the zoo is that,
well, you can’t see it all in one trip usually,
so a lot changes.
and every time i go, we see something magical.
this time, it was the elephants.
this guy went for a splash in the water and a dip in the pool while we were there…
and then covered in dirt, like elephants do.
fun fact: did you know elephants have 2in thick skin, but is so sensitive, they can feel a fly land on them?
within about 5 days,
our moffats from chicago here visiting wanted to go to the zoo too.
i’m in!
i hadn’t ever even been to the petting zoo….
after about a dozen times coming.
what’s up with that?
how am i still seeing new stuff here?!
and the magical moment on this trip:
we watched the new baby jaguars out playing with mom…
i didn’t even get a photo cause we were all so into it…
so if you come see me,
just don’t be surprised if i take you to the zoo!
