knowing it would be a late one yesterday for cc, i headed to joann’s,
which was way overdue anyway,
and bought me some dye.
then i came home and made some pillows
so that when my duvet cover is done {oh so soon}
i can show it all together.
{plus, i needed an excuse to start using my new sewing machine
i got for christmas. its been set up since i opened it, and needing a project…}
this pillow was made with the sheet that i ruined for the duvet cover,
{because i suck at math and cut it wrong…}
and the remnants of this project, {strips of muslin}
i was pouring over this gal’s cutest ever shop and thought,
she dyes her own fabric?? i’m in.
and now i have gray fingernails.
but boy does it feel good to create again.
and now i can’t wait to set up my new bedroom!
when cc came home my hands were gray and rough,
and elbow deep in mustard dye {for my next project…}
but they gratefully accepted the generous token he brought with him.
and now there are 2 things that are making me happy today!
maybe three….
i wish i could just be like "i'm gonna make something.." and go. I have so many ideas with no idea how to do it hahah. one day… cute pillow. btw.
