i can’t believe you have already been here a one whole month!
sometimes it feels like it has been years, and then there are moments that i worry this babysitting job is going to have to end sometime, and you will have to go back to your real parents.

lucky for me, you are mine.

you can see me pretty clearly now, and i love to stare right back at you- and watch your huge eyes start to catch more blue in them every day. at least they look blue now…

you get the hiccups almost every meal, and i have to admit, it is one of the most endearing noises you make…

when you aren’t eating or sleeping or hiccuping, you are farting. like an old man. long and loud ones.  we sure do get a kick out of that
{a kick? sheesh, we are already parent-talking…}

you have recently discovered your own fingers and like to suck on them when no one is looking, which is great- cause you are not really too fond of a pacifier…

you make the very same face at me when you wake up that involves a huge stretch and lots of monkey noises. if it weren’t for that face, it would be lots harder to wake up after the long nights. the good news is, we seem to have to feeding thing down. we are on a roll…

your left ear is the flat one, perfectly shaped and neatly tucked in by your head. your right ear is just like dad’s left ear: floppy and quasi-elvish.  another detail that made my heart stop when i realized how much you look like your dad.

i call you froggy, monkey, boss, little man, buddy, love… dad likes to call you son.
i have a feeling you will be a daddy’s boy…
