i am 27.
and though i know you might not agree,
its the year i don’t feel like i can say, “i’m young.”
not that i feel old.
i don’t.
i feel like i am just in the prime of things actually.
and i heard that life begins at 30.
i get what that means now.
all of the good stuff is now.
while i am a mom,
and a wife,
and living in a rad place,
and starting a business,
and making a home,
and figuring out how to be healthy for good…
yesterday was my birthday
and i will say that hearing from so many friends makes me smile.
people i don’t get to see often,
and even a quick note on facebook made me think of all of the good friends i have made and of the places i’ve been.
friday night
we had a girls night.
i believe in them, and i feel they are vital.
i got home at 2:30am and when i did, my house was spotless and i had a love note reminding me that i married well…
{earlier this week i also treated myself to lash extensions.
i must say, it could be a new addiction…. i love them so much.}

cc asked what i wanted/to do for my birthday this weekend and i told him i just wanted to go shopping and get my hair did.
cause i had been whining forever and i never just shop for myself.
{and i knew that relieves lots of stress from him to come up with another something in may.
he has my birthday, mothers day, and our anniverary to worry about.
that doesn’t even include his mom, dad, and sister with birthdays in may….}
it was time.
so saturday, after he made me breakfast,
we headed to the mall where i found lots of fun stuff,
but mostly it was fun to spend the day with the boys.
ps. fashion valley mall rocks. next time you are in SD, be sure and go.
then thank me later.

and came home to cute mom packages.
a gift basket of goodies from my mom/Snaps
with all my favorite mom-made goods,

and this gem from my MIL who knew i had been pining for an apothecary chest.
this mini cutie is now on my mantle, and i love love it!
then we got dolled up and met up with cute friends to see the avengers.
 my brother worked on the 3D for this one so we were stoked to see it,
it is a must see!
and there he is, in the credits!

sunday,
my aunt & uncle made me yummy dinner and a yummy dessert/cake
my uncle makes the best tri-tip, so i let him,
and my aunt made me this “death by chocolate”
{brownies, pudding, oreo…stop… it is killer.}
oh it’s so nice to grow older near family!

thanks everyone for such a fun birthday!
