rad foto, no?

i know i am not alone in saying this is a bittersweet day.
we grew up with these guys, and they grew up in robes.

and without them, what would we talk about after thanksgiving dinner or all through christmas when we always seem to want to watch every movie?

as a student in college, i was taking a “adolescent literature” course and we talked about the few books that really jump-started young people into reading.

this is obviously one of the biggest reasons many kids read – including myself. {he had us read twilight too, but i wont go there…} HP is one of those series that is intelligently written, yet inclusive. epic. one of the largest readerships ever, it spoke to children and adults {though often a little much for young ones, in my opinion}.

this is another one i will have to sit and read to my kids since they will have missed out on all of the hooplah of the movies and merchandise and costumes and park stuff.

and those 3 kids, they will have harry potter seared into their heads like lightning for the rest of their lives. daniel is on broadway and i just keep thinking, harry potter sings and dances too?!  he’s like this generation’s ferris beuller.

dear future,
please take me and my family to the harry potter park some day so my kids can have a taste of the magic. and please babysit my child so i can go to the movies with my lover and watch a movie in the theater we BOTH love when it is still considered new!!

mischief managed.
