if you’ve been following along, you already knew about the 75th anniversary
of the golden gate bridge.
which only made our weekend in san francisco, that much funner.
yep, i used funner in a sentence without flinching.

before all of that,
we went to the yummiest dinner adventure we have encountered yet!
it’s called off the grid.
all the san fran food trucks come together for the night and set up camp.
it’s like heaven for foodies.
we ate small things from about 5 different trucks.
all divine.
korean spring rolls, peruvian kabobs w/ sweet potato, & a dulce de leche-filled churro cupcake.
i saw seoul on wheels on food network. it was in their top 10.
so on sunday,
our last day,
we went to see what all the fuss was about…
lots of venders,
free stuff,
huge concerts…
radio stations.

once we had enough, we went to check out the art building

then hopped on our last cable car ride
and went home.
we will miss san fran.
not the awkward tights everyone was suddenly wearing as pants….
ew.
but the memories for sure…

backstory:  some of you have asked how i pulled off the suprise…
i told cc to take a few days if he could around our anniversary
so we could stay and have a “staycation.”
he bought it.
in fact, he bought the fact that we were going to dinner “near the airport”
he never questioned it.
if i had known his bosses better,
{like maybe next time i sneak-attack}
i would/will just call or email and ask them directly for work off.
how much better would that have been?!
also, i had him hand over the credit card {that we NEVER use}
and told him not to look at it.
he probably forgot he did that….
until we were walking into the airport
and i promptly made him take that evil plastic from me.
still, he thought we were just going all out for the evening.
such trust this man has…
next time, i might even find a way to pay so he has no clue it’s coming.
we’ll see how that flies…
i booked it all, with my mom on the phone as she booked their flight to be here with B.
then i talked with about 10 people who know the place well and got a list of things to see and do….
it was perfect.
