{technically} we are half-way to the end of one of the harder programs i have set out to complete in my life.
P90X isn’t just for fun, after all.
we bought it over a year ago, but when that eggo was prego, we ouldn’t do it. sad day.
then we attempted to start it 8 weeks post baby surgery…. also bad idea. i felt like my incision wanted to reopen and let my guts fly…. no bueno. not to mention the still garganuant boobs. that makes lots of jumping not only very unsightly, but also pretty uncomfortable…
so we made it 17 days, then took a month off to get through with all the traveling and let my body lose 10 pounds on its own. then we started again…
yesterday was day 45 of 90. truth is, its still freakin hard.
its stupid hard some days. but it’s so much easier than the first attempt when i had zero energy and too much weight to throw around, that i can get through it now. and that is so motivating. it makes me feel athletic again. and i know we will actually get to 90 this time.
i feel stronger, i am starting to see muscle creeping through on my arms and stomach again… and i have lost another 12ish pounds, going for at least 6 more to be at pre-baby meg. at least i fit into real jeans now and can finally workout without double-bra-ing it.
{we are not doing the diet part, but i am breastfeeding.
i would take that over dieting any day. even if he is a biter!
but i know this makes me one of those “results not typical” types.
we are eating loads healthier now that my appetite is down to normal too}
my favorite part: cc. not only does 10 pounds do wonders on that one, but, i have to admit, its just bonding to work out every day, and push each other through it. he knows i need it, so some days he is the only reason i can.
are we perfect? no. i would say we are about 90%. we do have a baby and the evenings are B’s time with dad, so he doesn’t always sleep through it as planned, and things come up. so we deal. in fact, we have company/visiting family until labor day and just decided we will do everything we can to stay on track this week- no promises, but we will start back with day 42 after labor day. cause we are stubborn like that…
{um, we took before fotos and day 30 fotos and they are obviously different, but i am not going to be sharing those. maybe for a million…. maybe.}

So my hubs and I did P90x after our first too. Well, about 5-6 months after he was born. I did a little exercise here and there. But like you P90x was what really got me back into shape. I have a love/hate relationship with that work out….and {as we have lovingly called him} 'Uncle' Tony. And like you, working out together was the best – SO motivating. I can't wait until we can
