so, i have to mention this ridiculously cute gender reveal party that my girlfriend lela threw at her cute house for new mama stephanie.
{note: we just went, i did nothing to add to the cuteness of this event. i just had a camera.
and truth be told, we were late, so we didn’t even get the best photos. check their blogs for more!}
stephanie writes a blog called the bloom diary to document her journey through IVF with this miracle baby after years of infertility.
we are all so excited for her to be pregnant that i wasn’t surprised at all to hear of the party…
and her blog is such a great read.
she is a brilliant writer, and i get so excited with her at every step.
she writes the sweetest poems for her friends as gifts because her writing is really something great.
i love that. these girls are awesome.
and lela, who has the cutest backyard, and should probably go into catering or interior design,
or fashion consulting, put the party together.
another cute artist friend did all of the artwork and the balloon/art/wall – too much creativity in one place really. geniuses, all of them.
the food/set-up…
voting, of course…
the suspense…
the balloons hiding secrets…
the nervous parents to be…
and the reaction!
a girl!
they had the guests take turns throwing more darts and popping the balloons…
the men loved that…
i thought this was the most genius part… beautiful shades of pink popped onto canvas so that this piece of art and memory can be hung in the baby’s room!
i couldn’t get over it.
congrats you guys.
thanks for letting us come- so much fun, love, and happiness to be had!
This was a phenomenal idea!! And her story made me read up! God is so good!!
The darts is a fun way to do it, and of course the fellas would especially like it!
I love the darts idea!
You're always so amazingly sweet! Really, all I did was assist Stephanie and make sure my bathroom was clean! LOL. It was all her vision and creativeness! Isn't she the best?!?!
wow. such a cute party!!
Please let me know if you’re looking for a article author for your blog. You have some really great posts and I think I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d love to write some material for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please blast me an email if interested. Many thanks!
<a href="http://eventup.com/venues/beverly-hills-ca/" rel="nofollow"
I'v been known to think gender reveal parties are a bit cheesy, with the usual cutting of the cake, with the inside of the cake being blue or pink…but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the darts idea, and the friends voting by filling their glass with pink or blue champagne! Too cute! Great job to your friends!
And thanks for the post and photos 🙂
