my mom says a lot of weird things…
so when i told my brother “what mom says” is our theme, he asked,
“so are you going to go find a bird’s nest on the ground?”
my point exactly.
a few things my mom says:
in response to the question, “did you want to go get a swig [diet coke from sonic]?”
her reply is usually, “does dolly parton sleep on her back?”
if you tell her a story about someone stupid,
she will usually say something like, “well bless her pointed head.”
she has told me before that she had to go “get her mrs. doubtfire on” and clean the house.
is somethin bad is about to go down, she might say, “the horse. has eaten lulu.”
i’m not even sure the context, but she sometimes says random ones like,
“well isn’t that just handy as a bird’s nest on the ground.”
and in response to “what’s your favorite color?”
she will ALWAYS reply,
so, in honor of my mother, and because all of my attempts to find red this week failed due mostly to lack of time and planning…
i scoured my hard drive from the east coast to bring you some of my favorites.

Loved the Post!! And Thanks, for all things red are my weakness. I will say that there is only one change and that is "Horace" has eaten Lulu. To tell you the truth, I have no idea what it means either, but my mom said it when something was going down that was unexpected and usually, but not always, it was something that you might not want to have happen. Sorry to pass those genes

hilarious. now in 20 years, watch my kids say, "my mom says the weirdest things, like 'the horse has eaten lulu… whatever that means'" its like the ham in the pan. moms are one huge game of telephone…
