cardigan to cardigan, just better. and a. lot. smaller.
so this one was harder than expected.
and i am actually surprised it turned out.
being that i have pretty much no idea what i am doing…
i would normally just resize this beast, but it was a 3x, like an XXL…
like it covered the width of that door it is hanging on…
so instead of just seaming up the sides and arms like grosgrain would do,
i actually had to take off the sleeves, resize, and re-attach them.
{cause my mom’s voice rang in my head,
“the arm sleeve will be down to your elbow!” you’re right, mom. you’re right}
the ribbing on the arms and hem come from this sweater that was obviously on it’s last leg of life…
{since the striped knit is a little rolly, i just left the edges unfinished and sewed it down on top of the white. i love it.}
and the flowers/balloons were used from the excess as well as another old sweater of mine.
{the strings were from the hoodie of said sweater}
i used strips cut from the sleeves {still sewn in a loop} and gathered one edge.
after i hand sewed the flower/things together i attached em with the machine.
cc picked out the shoes.
he said it needed a sassy pop.

he’s probably right.
