when i realized i had some fabric, and that it was girly,
and that a girlfriend was having a baby girlfriend soon, i went for it.
{this is one of those patterns that looks like a lot more work than it is. and i love that.}
i think i’ll call it baby birdylicious.
{if you were to examine too close, you would note that this is not the quality of my mother’s handy work, but as it is my 2nd quilt, i will refrain from too many disclaimers…but when she was here, she may or may not have done the quilting….}
nevertheless, i just got off the phone with my mom who said,
“oh, i should go start {my niece’s} quilt….for her birthday…”
me: you mean the one that’s in a week? naturally. it will be done tomorrow….

i have been craving this naughty creation
that won me a cake bake off @ {cc’s} work last week…
{its a chocolate/layered/toffee/wedding cake}
it should probably be cheating that it is my mom-in-law’s recipe.
they didn’t even stand a chance…
