one of my favorite things is setting goals.
making lists,
and checking things off that list.
what a beautiful sense of accomplishment.
if i had on my 2011 list, “have the best new year’s eve party with great friends”
it would be checked.
we went where little man could go down while mom and dad had a few hours to play with some friends…
who are more like family.
…who know what it’s like to move with this company,
and most of whom will be following us to the san diego.
we almost didn’t go out because we worried about B’s cold and how awful he sounds.
and who would come babysit on new year’s eve??
turns out it was just what the doctor ordered for us all.
we decided on the way home it was the best new year’s party
we’ve ever been party to.
yesterday, cc and i sat down with each our own mini bottle of bubbly.
and after watching two emotional episodes of Extreme Home Makeover
and dreaming up our future home’s design and decor,
and the child that made us want to rip our hair out safely in bed,
we started our list….
big red’s to-do in 2-oh-1-2:
move to san diego
throw a super fun birthday party for a 1-yr-old
run {at least} a 10k in our vibram 5-finger shoes
go on a “real” vacation to somewhere we haven’t been: just us
move into a house: bought or rented
finish the book of mormon as a family
be better at regular family home evening
get organized
bring it on, 2012!
