i live in an area where there is never a shortage of freshly propped boobs,
bedazzled jeans (when they are not in designer workout clothes)
and where everybody runs.
not that i am against any of the above, but i usually find myself meeting said amazing women in the very moment i am unloading forty five bags of groceries and a wiggling child with a frizzy pony tail while wearing my homemade sweater and real (not store bought) ripped jeans.
the thing that cracks me up every time is the fact that everyone, and i mean everyone i have met here so far, is nicer than the next.
and why shouldn’t they be?
they are healthy, happy,
{according to some article my mom read- have better sex lives than most… }
they live in a beautiful place with perfect weather 95% of the year…
i’m convinced – bedazzled or not, this place brings out the best in people.
it’s hard not to want to eat healthy and workout or be a designer and grow a small business and meet people and travel the world and learn to surf and paint and bike.
…and run. cause everybody runs.
{i may or may not have spent the last few days looking up 1/2 marathons cause apparently i need to be running….i’ll get back to you on that endeavor…}
Everyone probably runs there because the weather is amazing all year round, and there's a damned beach everywhere you look! It would definitely make the whole process much more appealing!
That's EXACTLY how i felt for the 18 months we lived there- so happy, like my very best self, all the time. I started my human rights blog, started watercoloring and jogging, explored new recipes, and hubby and i went on 10 or 11 random, spontaneous road trips, just because. It was like a long honeymoon 🙂 Ever since we left, I have been scheming and dreaming about going back as soon as
