I have a lot on my plate. I know you know that.
Here’s a few apps I use that sync phone to mac and back to help make my life easier…
Truth be told, one of the things I’m NOT great at is organization. I’m just more of a “I have a million things in my head, so there’s just no way to organize it all” type of person. Which isn’t something I’m proud of, by the way…
I often have either a perfect-looking house {a relative and subjective term}, and no “work” work gets done, or a very productive “work” day, but my house is a tornado zone. Ok, part of that is just #momlife and I get that some of that is normal. Buuuuut, when it comes down to running a blog, that is still a revenue stream for us, and running a company, AND my home and family, I needed a few things.
Being that today is #momprenuermonday, I wanted to share these few productivity apps for iphone I’ve been using for the last few months cause they have been LIFE-CHANGING for this unorganized mess that is my brain!
The first, and my favorite one is Wunderlist.
I love this app so much! It’s free for iphone AND there is a corresponding Mac app which sync and keep everything organized for me. I love that I can assign tasks to my team, my husband, or my CPA…etc. I can set a date, reminders, and view them by date so I have a calendar of to-dos. And because there is an iphone app, it means I can get these reminders on my phone, or check it quickly as I sit down to work so I remember where I’m at and what to start on.
There’s a place for notes, so a team can keep each other updated on status. It’ would be great for planning events and delegating assignments with subtasks…etc.
Here’s mine right now. I’ll show you my “personal list” but I have a folder for blog, business, a list for just the home. You can see I share some of the lists, and I have lists within lists. Sounds like a lot, but keeps life very organized and time-lined out for me. I used to write all of this down, and I still use my planner for a lot, but this helps me remember AND delegate!
The next one is OneSafe.
Sounds random, but I swear I use it everyday. My husband and I both have our passwords and important cards here and I find I use it almost every day. I have since memorized a few of my major card numbers, but it’s a quick reference and since I have a million logins, a great place to store passwords too. Worth the few dollars you’ll pay to stay safe and organized on this one…
Another one we use is pocket.
Sure, we all use and love pinterest, but I get emails all of the time or come across sites, especially as a business, that I want and really NEED to read, but simply need to set aside time to do so… once I read em or use them, I delete them. I think pocket has a limit or they may charge, not sure, I’ve never hit the limit, but it’s nice for that…
here’s what mine looks like right now…
I am always looking up or finding ways to better the shopping experience, how to optimize websites, and where to find the packaging…etc. that I need. It’s a lot to weed through and this just helps me set that on a pile on my desk to look through later.
Were any of these new? Do you have one I need? Let me know in the comments if you have apps you love, free or not, that help your workflow!
Great apps. I’ve been using Wunderlist, although I don’t use it as much as I should. Pocket sounds interesting. I get buried in my inbox and I just don’t have time to dig it out. I think I have 604 unread Emails in my Inbox and that’s just since May – ugh! But if I put them in a folder, that’s it, they are GONE forever! But I miss out on a lot of stuff I really would like to read.
