last weekend for the 4th, i was in utah to shoot the wedding of my cousin.

it was good fun because there were lots of family around, and i got some one-on-one time with my parents, which apparently i needed.

once there, i realized i hadn’t been back in provo area since i left in 2008 and graduated from BYU.

going back to college is weird.

so much has changed there.

and yet, so much hasn’t. i felt the excitement of being in a college town all over again, it made me hyper like a 19 year old all over again…

we went to a place that everyone cool knows about sodalicious. its literally a hole-in-the-wall drive through/walk-up joint that makes any combination of soda/flavors you could want.

photo 6yep, i’m very mad i didn’t think of this idea first. but truth be told, it would work best right there.

a college town full of soda drinkers. done.

we enjoyed the 4th up in the beautiful mountains to get out of the hella heat in the valley,

and then the next day, i was on my feet all day with a camera around my neck. i love weddings, but summer weddings in utah are going to be the death of me.

{i’ve turned into such a california brat, i know.}

while i was gone, my boyfriend took our kids down to AZ to go to the cabin with family.

they had lots of fun too. there is a cute little parade in the town every year so i’m glad they got to go and represent.

since i wasn’t there, all i have are the cute pictures he took…
