if you are a white chocolate fan, you will really love this!
it takes a lot of chocolate and it’s gooood. my mom makes this for almost every holiday and changes up the colors of the m&ms and chocolate to make it feel festive…
these valentine ones are just perfect to have around… slash dangerous, if you know what i mean…
and i know you do.
pretty much any event i need to host or go to in february gets naughty corn….
my mom, who has a cookie and catering business, put this together to add into her cookie baskets as a “sidekick” she calls them… she called me asking for a name to call it and i said, “naughty corn. that’s what it is, right?” and we’ve called it that since! cause they are indeed naughty.
naughty corn {valentine style}
16 oz vanilla CandyQuik or vanilla almond bark
2-3 oz pink or red melting candy, {or vanilla candyquik and red food coloring}
3 bags of microwave popcorn {the best is orville redenbacher gourmet white}
2 cups pretzel sticks
2 cups frito chips
12 oz bag of peanut butter M&Ms
colored sprinkles {optional}what to do:
1. pop all of the popcorn and place in a very large bowl. add pretzels and fritos. {you may also add peanuts here if you want.}
2. lay out a large sheet of parchment paper or foil on the counter.
3. melt the 16 oz of vanilla candy in the microwave in 30 second increments until smooth. then pour immediately over the popcorn mix and coat evenly.
4. immediately transfer to parchment or foil to set up. before it sets, add m&ms and sprinkles so they get stuck into the mix. {otherwise they will all sink to the bottom when it goes back in the bowl!}
5. melt 2-3 oz of pink/red chocolate or more vanilla candiquik. if coloring chocolate, add WHILE you are melting. drop 10-20 drops into the melted chocolate after the first 30 seconds in the microwave and stir after the next 30 seconds in the microwave. use a fork or spatula and lightly drizzle the colored chocolate over all of the popcorn mix.
6. once set, transfer back to a bowl and enjoy by the handful!
