My growing boho style and why I love reunions…
Our 4th of July was so lovely and relaxing. We met up with lots of family for a family reunion that we have every 3 years. At the end of the reunion, we took a vote on whether or not to have it again and I am happy to say that we ultimately decided to meet again. We are getting big and there is extended family that has a tough time getting there, but I love catching up with them. I have such fond memories of my 2nd and 3rd cousins and lots of them are from reunions. I believe in them for sure. In fact, I signed up to help plan the next one {my husband was super excited about that…whoops}.
We went “camping” here in California for the reunion, at a place with cabins and plumbing… it was NOT camping, to be sure, but tons of fun. Day one was at the beach near my house, which I think is a fabulous thing to do for reunions, but super busy on the 4th of July weekend… note all of the humans in the back. 馃槈

I’m learning that my style is far more hippy and boho than I thought I would be, but living near the water will do that to you I guess.
I really am loving this kimono style and I have already found some fabric to make a few of my own kimonos for the shop cause I just love the look so much- and even more as a cover-up at the beach! Imagine this just a hint shorter though and with less-intense fringe and it would be perfect as just a night-out look with some skinnies and wedges. I’m a fan. There, I said it. Kimonos for the win.
And this suit is from Athleta. I have to say, though I have lost a few pounds, I’m not quite at the “bare-my-upper-thighs” part of life that I thought I’d be at. I got this suit last summer and I think I’ll get another one in a size smaller for this season, but I have loved it and rarely wear anything else cause it has great coverage and still feels sexy.
