My little girl’s room is coming together, corner by corner. And all the little projects are turning into spaces she loves to be. This little craft corner is where I find her often, coloring and cutting paper over and over. In truth, her brother sneaks in there a lot to do the same. I made this quick Ikea Hack table from a plain white one because it just didn’t really fit in the room without a little more character!

I just taped off the legs, and the top rim I did with the table laying flat upside down and just sprayed from the side… it didn’t need tape. Then I sanded it a bit to rough it up and then painted a few coats of polyurethane to keep it cleanable after she started coloring on it. I think it looks super cute in there now!

I bought and painted this magnet board so she could display her “art” and Boston promptly filled it with a flower for her.

The little shelf is a spice rack from IKEA as well that I painted the edge of so she could keep her supplies there. For now, it just holds her scissors, which see more play time than the crayons, as it turns out.

Isn’t it fun?! It’s not a huge deal, but made a huge difference in her room and keeps my house free of little art corners everywhere because she is a project girl after my own heart. 😉
