so, here’s the thing. i literally have only a few stores that i LOVE to shop at, and where i find tons of things that really make me feel good.

i love DownEast because they have lots of basics, and lots of fashion finds, so i can get my layering things, and staple pieces, but also find jeans, blouses, and dresses that are fresh. and my favorite part: they know my body. they know that we young moms want to feel cute and trendy. we are still young, but not so young that we can still dress like we are teenagers. {if you are one of those that thinks you can, good for you.}  we are that in-between crowd that craves style because we need it… to compensate for the loss of our once easier-to-dress figure.

they also know that we moms are movers. so tops are longer, less skanky, and more “put-together-y” which is what we all like to pretend we are.

again, i don’t claim to be a fashion expert, i’m just a mom like you, lookin to look good.
this month, i was asked to be DownEast’s featured stylist.
i thought, “do they even know they are one of my favorites?” probably not. {well, they do now!}

they said nice things about me and posted this look i picked out using the crochet collar top from DownEast on their blog here. i also picked my fave pieces from this month’s catalog. you can check out the stylist’s picks here.

i also spent at least 4 hours in a DownEast this weekend looking for the perfect look to wear for my high school reunion. it was awesome to know exactly what to look for, so i walked in and tried on lots of things. they have lots of cute blouses right now that i snagged up that are perfect for my postpartum body {sadly, none were really the look i needed, so i just had to keep all of the “options” i brought home…cough}. like this cute top i bought in both designs…

i went with one of my best friends from high school and we intended to go to a few other stores, but we didn’t quite make it to the other ones… and, we determined they were working on us good because all of our “jams” from high school were playing on the store radio…
{“lets help those 28-35 year olds feel great!” totally worked.}

i can’t wait to go back during the holidays too. a bird told me the holiday line is going to be to die for! {and hopefully, i will be a more fun size to shop for…}
