cc and i were up to our elbows in paint
with a child wakening far too early from his afternoon nap,
when i realized something.
“is there anything…else…you wanted to do for your vacation?” i asked him.
“you mean, other than all these fun projects? i know, that’s probably not normal…”
we have been so excited to get to a place that we could do something to that we have gone a little nutso.
we have too much stuff we don’t need and lots we still do.
its all about priorities i guess.
after i painted the kitchen, we set out for other fun projects…
this one was first on my list. my metal mirror i have wanted to paint since i found it at a garage sale a few years ago…
{still yet to be hung…}
the nice thing about metal is it already has that steely vintagy look i wanted, so i just used the side of the brush to tap the edges and left the grooves the same. i even had my trusty martha stewart glaze handy {that helped me get my headboard all vintagy}, and didn’t even need it!
then we had an issue to solve, and fast.
our cute entertainment unit that i love love, was too wide for our new little space.
so while it sits on craigslist waiting to find a new home,
we found a new little guy to fix up just right…
with my white/gray couch, and a few more pops of color….
{i need someone to come tell me to stop popping color by the way,
or this tiny place might explode…}
and this is just the beginning…
oh it feels good to be free!
