something miraculous just happened.
in the 2 years i have been married, the man i call my spouse has been slightly opinionated adamant about the no-you-may-never-cut-your-hair-short rule.
ahem. i have had many a great short hair cut and i loved them all.
his reasoning: once you go short, you don’t go back. its just not true!
we women need change, and especially when i have 15lbs to lose still and that is not happening fast enough for me, the nasty locks infested with daily spit-up have got to go.
they will come back some day i promise. but its summer, and i promise i will get dressed and feel cuter too. it will probably help inspire me to speed up the weight loss too.
so please oh please oh please. {i showed him this picture here.}
{from when i visited my brother in Vegas when i was in college, and i just decided on a whim to hack it all off and it was my favorite hair cut. i did it right before i graduated and it felt good- like a new beginning or something.}
that’s what i need. a new start. now that life is on autopilot, i feel like i can do that.
and guess what, he said yes!
{well, really it was more like a mubbled, “oh ok…” but i am going with it!}
so i am doing a little research because it will be a few weeks before i see my stylist
{my SIL in AZ},
and i found this thing @ ivillage to try on celeb’s haircuts. awesome.
here are some of the faves.
My hubby has the same opinion about long vs short hair, and I get that same need for change after every kid (and sometimes in between) It will help you, he wont hate it, and it will totally grow back! Make sure to post the afters!!
I love ivillage! I did the exact same thing the other day and now I have an appointment this Thursday to chop my hair off.
Wow, I am totally using the ivillage thing next time I cut my hair…

I LOVE you with short hair! I love you anyway, but I met you when you had really short hair, and I loved it then. That's just who you are to me.

I've been very blessed with a husband who really doesn't have an opinion on my hair. He's never wanted me to color it, but he's good with
Hi Meg! It's Julie W. from UoP (just in case you don't remember me :)) I have the long hair/short hair debate with myself every summer and usually, short hair wins. Ben said he doesn't mind what I do as long as I like it (even if I decided to go pixie), and he has had his short and long favorites. I say the brunette ones look awesome on you… But you always looked so nice with long
haha! I loved looking at all those hair styles with your face in them! Good luck deciding!
When my baby was about 4 1/2 months, I went from below my shoulders to above my chin. BEST choice ever. Especially with the spit-up knots, the hair tugging and insane amount of time needed to make longer hair presentable. Go for it!
When you are ready, the short hair will work for you. You seem to pull off good hair easily. I support the decision, can;t help but get a little excited about the carrie underwood look. They say Blondes have more fun. Might be time. O.K. J.K.
your hair looks awesome short! do it!

kind of hard to tell what all of those styles will really look like, but i love that first picture of you. great hair.
I don't know if blondes have more fun…but I've never tried going brunette to test it and see if my fun levels have decreased. I'm so excited for the bob! P.S. You've been changing up the blog a little…no more MC^2 huh?
You look great with short hair. It suits your sassy self well. I'm excited to see what you end up doing!
Um, you'd look TOTALLY CUTE with short hair! Plus, when you've got the little one, it will probably make life a lot easier! 🙂
