our thanksgiving staycation here in san diego was perfect. so were these happy accident cookies.
just me and my 3 peeps, making memories, staring new traditions…
we even spent 1 whole day “winter” cleaning the house and took out bags and bags of trash and donate-able stuff. it felt incredible.
turns out, we just needed a day to do it.
so i was excited to have some time to cuddle with my kiddos and make some goodies
while we watched christmas movies.
i was craving cherry cobbler, not pie, but cobbler, with the naughty flavor of the crumbly crust, ya know? and since we had the time and no assignments, we took a few attempts to master these perfect cherry thumbprint cookies. they have only 5 ingredients and use a cake mix so there are lots of variations and ways it could be naughty. i might have to try these in chocolate form soon… but i’m almost positive you have what it takes to make this right now.
they’d be the perfect last minute take-to-a-party dessert or neighbor gift for christmas… so yummy and pretty.
and boss may or may not have had a few of them today… cause i’m an awesome mom.
