My new fave place to grab cute slip-on shoes for casual summer days – BluKicks and a fun giveaway with Color Me Apparel too!
It’s been pouring in San Diego. Off and on, of course, cause San Diego is like a teenage girl sometimes and can’t decide who she likes. But when she pours, it’s like everyone here is in yoga acceptance mode, and swears their prayers were the reason. It’s awesome.
So this week, my manufacturer and I set to work on a new skirt, a super cute casual one with bootilicious ladies like myself to enjoy {see: image above}.

And then BluKicks sent me these cute sneakers, and I knew they had to debut together. I am in love with them! And more importantly, I’m in love with the company. As a #girlboss, I am keenly aware of a company’s branding and story, and BluKicks have a cute story to share. While my business is a story of a grown up mom and daughter collaboration, BluKicks is a mother and son! Go read their cute about me page and be delighted as I was. They are changing the world in a way they are passionate about and that makes my heart so happy.
And aside from my love for them as a company, these are crazy comfortable! I would definitely say to size down cause, like most slip-ons, they’ll stretch a little with you. I probably could have gotten a whole size smaller than I usually wear and still been good. They have these inserts in there that make them so comfy. I may have found my new Disneyland shoes!
Also, BluKicks gives back by donating to support wildlife and save threatened habitats, so all of their shoes have a different a different graphic of a fish {or in this case Shamuu} on the bottom! I love that.

I love Blu Kicks and your outfit 🙂 I wanted to point out that the sizing seems inconsistent for the Blu Kicks…I ordered an 8.5 and I normally wear a 9 and they were uncomfortably tight. I’ve had them for a few months now and they have loosened a bit, but I still can’t wear them for a long period of time without my toes feeling cramped. On their site it will tell you whether they run big or true to size…my recommendation would be to pay attention to that and also only size down if you are between sizes. They really are the most comfortable slip-ons ever and I hope I get to try a pair in my true size! They are soooo fun and adorable and I always get compliments when I wear the ones I have! Thanks!! That’s a great tip! I usually wear 7.5, and these are 7 and still a little big, so that’s good to know that it varies. It’s good that they mention it on the shoes!
