am i the only one who thinks food just tastes better in the fall?
i don’t know what it is about the fall that does it, but i really do feel like food gets better.
maybe we are done traveling all over and we calm down and get back into the swing of making real dinner and baking,
but it’s just better.
and i was in the mood for something fun to do with my kid to help him get in the mood for fall, since he’s kind of been all bah humbug about halloween.
quite frankly, he seems to think it’s “scary” or something….
we keep talking about it and the whole idea of dressing up to get candy get candy get candy… it’s starting to sink in a bit.
and truth is, i don’t like candy corn a whole lot, but i think making stuff that looks like candy is always a good idea… so we whipped up some pudding. apparently they have all kinds of fall flavors out too so you can get butterscotch and pumpkin…and yadda yadda… {actually, i think butterscotch is usually there} we usually go for banana around here. i added some food coloring and whipping cream and they were so cute! they’d be perfect for a grown-up party too, maybe with actual bananas or fruit in there to kick it up a notch. pretty simple.
