we have arrived in san diego,
and may i say first and foremost, that i never ever plan to leave.
if i could pick a place to live out my life,
it would be lovely san diego.
big city with small town suburbia neighborhoods.
where people don’t wear real clothes in the morning
because they all workout until 2. at which point they go shopping.
in workout clothes. mostly spandex.
lots of tight butts in spandex
is how i would describe san diego in 6 words.
our place is small, charming, and in a great location.
we have friendly neighbors, a rad pool,
and family close by to watch my baby while we get through day 1/100 of the unpacking voyage.
at the moment there is a small walkway leading from beds to doors.
the rest of the square footage is occupied with cardboard. and lots of it.
though we are renting this cute little condo, we feel like home owners,
and between the toolman and i,
our little honey do-this-fun-project-with-me list is growing ever larger by the minute.
“lets paint that night stand and put it here…
i want to paint that dresser and that mirror….and most likely the crib…red.”
“i want to go get my tools and build you a bike rack…”
“can you make me a mantle? ooh, or build me benches to go out on my beachy deck??”
“i need to buy you a house, is what i need to do.”
we might go broke designing someone else’s house.
but we’ll be happy doing it.
stay tuned for all the fun projects i will be able to show you soon.
its going to be intense at the BRC for a long while.
like rubber gloves, and ACE membership intense.
Hahahaha, I totally do that – if I work out in the morning, I am allowed to stay in my spandex as long as I want! If I have not actually worked out, then I am being a tool, but if I have, then it's all good.

Glad to hear San Diego sees it my way.
I love your attitude about making it your home even though it's just a rental. I'm trying to have that attitude about our little apartment.
Jealous. I adore San Diego.

Cute post!!
