jamba juice caribbean passion copycat recipe

so, i was at a church activity the other night. i get to hang out with the young women on tuesdays.
they plan the activities and they are geniuses. they decided they wanted to have a legit yoga class, then make smoothies after. so these 12-13 year old girls showed up and after the most delicious feeling yoga class {the first workout i’ve done in maybe a year}, they made each other smoothies.

some had even looked up how to make jamba juice smoothies! the second i tried it, i called, “caribbean passion!” and they looked at me like i was a psycho. guys, i may have had one a few… hundred times. needless to say, i called it. it was pretty darn exact.

i changed it up a hint and it was amazing! definitely a fun
“hey we all need something sweet up in here” type recipe…

jamba juice caribbean passion smoothie

  • 12 oz guava-mango, guava strawberry, or mango-passion juice {frozen}
  • 3-4 Tbs pineapple juice
  • 2 handfuls frozen strawberries
  • 1 handful frozen peaches
  • 2 scoops orange sherbet
  • 1 scoop ice

what to do

put everything in a blender with in the order listed {harder to blend stuff goes on top!} blend until smooth, adding fruit juice to thin it out if needed.

note: i think it’s the guava {or passion fruit} that makes it. i’ve had it twice now, and both times it was the guava that put it over the top, if you can’t find quava in the frozen juice section, go with a mango-passion fruit or something similar. it’s those island-y fruits you want!

we also added a little fiber and greek yogurt for protein. {as if that counteracts the sherbet…oh well!}
