I love that it’s almost May. May, at our house, is called “Meg Month”. It’s my birthday, mother’s day, AND our anniversary in one month… so it usually means lots of good things for me… most of which I buy and wrap myself and say, “Hey, this is from you? You are the sweetest!” So, this Mom’s Week Sampler event is super fun cause it flows right along with Mom Day and Meg Month and getting spoiled and feeling special.

I hadn’t heard about Sampler before, but you can sign up to get free samples of all kinds of stuff! Basically, each of the products below will have it’s own page on the Sampler app on Facebook, so you just need to RSVP to the products you’d like, and then sign up to get the free samples. But you have to hurry, they run out!

Just RSVP to the Facebook event right here. You MUST RSVP to participate in the entire event! Also, when you RSVP, you will be automatically entered to win a grand prize basket full of lots of prizes, so go do that right now… I’ll wait…

Also, if you aren’t already “fan” on MY Facebook page, be sure to “like” and then follow along for a flash giveaway on my page sometime next week too! It’s going to be goooood.

Here’s some of the awesome brands that you’ll get to try as part of mom’s week:

Bitsy’s Brainfood

I am ALWAYS looking for new healthier snacks to keep around for the kids. I opened up these boxes that Bitsy’s Brainfood sent me and I was happy to see the kids enjoying them! I love when there are snacks that have some fiber and protein and are not just sugar. I feel like it is hard enough to keep my kids active enough now that all they want to do every day is stay inside and watch shows and eat. And then when we DO get out, they use up all of their energy and need to eat! So keeping busy kids fed is a constant mom battle, and one I’m not great at. Add this one to the list of mom-approved kid snacks.

FATCO

I’m super excited about this skin care line-up from FATCO! Their products are made from 100% real products that come from nature, not chemicals made in a lab. They have oil-infused body butters, and unscented, and have deodorant for women AND men. I have only tried the deodorant on non-workout days, so I am curious to know how it will hold up after burning 500 calories, but for now, it works awesome. I’m usually so self-conscious about smelling, so I’m crossing my fingers that this is the one!

DeVita

This  eye lift creme is made to restore the collagen in skin and help reduce puffiness or dark circles under the eyes. It is also 100% vegan and free of parabens and it is gluten sensitive safe. I  am excited to see how this one goes because I have VERY dark circles under my eyes most days and look tired or dead most of the time. I just started using it, so I’ll let you know what I think after a few weeks!

MyChelle

I just got these, so I haven’t been able to try them much, but I’m so excited to us them this summer! These sun products are free of parabons and are mineral-based, so all of the ingredients in there are recognizable, which I like. That cucumber cooker soothing spray is awesome! It’s made with aloe and cools skin so I have used it a few times while coming and going out in the sun and it’s so refreshing and soothing. As an after-sun spray it would be great! I’ll let you know how it goes!

Buddha Teas

I am not a huge tea person, but like to drink herbal tea now and again, mostly to calm me at night, or as part of a detox. I definitely have it more when it’s cold out! These teas are organic and  made from the best herbs for a full rich flavor. Sometimes I like to make tea just to smell them in my kitchen… Tumeric Ginger, doesn’t that just sound fun to smell?

Greeniche

Greeniche Stevia is a gluten-free, dairy-free, no-calorie sweetener made with pure Stevia Rebaudiana Extract. I haven’t tried it yet, but I have been known to use sweeteners before, so I’m excited to try this one. It does not contain Aspartame, Sucralose, Saccharine, Maltodextrin, or Inulin, so it probably won’t have some of the side effects that some sweeteners have.

Perfect Bar

I sampled these in a Vons in San Diego. The cute lady gave some to me and my kids and told me they were made locally and they were new. I have loved the Almond Butter ones the best, but they are really yummy and hearty, so I like to use them as a pre-workout snack for energy and they are refrigerated and fresh so they are delicious! Now that I’m here, there’s something fun about supporting my San Diego business friends. I love to see a good product take off like this!

These fun colored workout tops from Danskin Now are moisture wicking and super comfortable. They are about $5 at Walmart, so you can grab a few of them! Be sure to RSVP for the event below to try one out! I just wore mine to the gym this morning and I’m obsessed with it! It’s the perfect fit and length. I am going to have to go back for a few more!

Parissa

I was oddly excited about this one! I have been working out and working on a tan, and getting ready for swimsuit season. I usually wear a swimsuit that covers my baby fat thighs, mostly due to the chicken-skin look that I sport with my dark thick hair… It’s not pretty. So, I haven’t yet, but I’m excited to try these wax strips before I head back to the beach.

Kiju Organic

Kiju Organic 100% juices are premium, certified organic juice blends with no added sugar. That is not something that most juice companies can say. I hate buying fruit juice for my kids because I usually come home and find out that in fact the “juice” contains only 30% juice or less. I haven’t tried this one yet, but mango orange? Yes. I’ll have that.

Solves Strips

I don’t know if you have seen the commercial for these, but it’s a great new product! These are thin, dissolvable strips that replenish electrolytes. My kids didn’t love it on their tongue because they are pretty salty, but you can leave them inside your cheek to dissolve as well, so they are pretty easy to use. We’ve had some flu and cold in this house lately, so I’m going to try and keep my kids to keep it at bay.

Healthy Skoop

My husband and I have been pretty good for the last month or so at going to the gym and counting calories. We are always on the lookout for a good protein powder and pre and post workout drinks and foods. This one is USDA organic and made from plant-based protein. I added some frozen strawberry and banana and some almond coconut milk. Yes, it’s delicious. I also like the carb to protein to calories ratio on this one. Sometimes they can have far too much sugar or calories and sometimes they are just not enough protein…etc. I think this is a good blend.
