behind the scenes | not at all pinterest worthy…

you know i believe in being real.

i am definitely a wide open book.

i would never want to let you believe that i have it all together…

a few blog friends of mine and i wanted to you see what it’s like around the house on days that we blog, make food for church events, then pack up to go to a playdate… while trying to keep 2 kids out of trouble…

it’s not pretty, in fact, it’s a bit embarassing to let you see my house for real. it’s tiny, little, not-quite-decorated-cute glory… and in a HUGE mess…

just want to keep it real and show you that i know your life is hard.
mine is too. it’s a crazy mess, but it’s mine, and it’s fun. crazy. but fun.

i shot these right after i made banana bars for a church event, i mad dashed through the kitchen, and i wish i could say i staged the mess that followed. i didn’t.
this is truly, the exact state of my house.

we’ll start with boss, telling me he’s making a “yummy treat” in my new tart pans that just arrived.
{sweet, he’s keeping busy…}

but it didn’t last long… then he tried to help do my dishes…
knowing i so obviously need help in that department…

it’s bad. i know. and what breaks my heart is there are many times when i have to leave this little one and hustle around her… she hates it. wishes i could hold and cuddle her all day…

i do too…

and then there is my house… my undecorated wall in the family room,
the corners all filled with things i have no space for in this place…

lots of laundry, and dishes, and a million things to be done… millions.

ps. if anyone has any idea how to store all my costo/amazon bulk purchases in this tiny place, i’m all ears! that hallway filled with whatever is pretty sad and we know it… i cringe to post it, but it’s only fair you see…

and it’s only fair you see what i usually look like…
my hair in a rat ball, so frizzy, unshowered, and covered in flour. classic. gross.
{and i have no full-length mirror anywhere but the bathroom, unless you want to see the markered up mirror in our bedroom with a messy bed behind it. see above}

you should see some of my friends’ behind the scenes too,
if this was at all entertaining/makes you feel better about life…
